Afraid I haven't seen any updates since these pictures have been released. Can't say I've followed the project, though.

The history of the Laboratorio Bebi web site indicates it was active between at least 2003 and 2008.  In 2010 their home page became a "coming soon" page.

The project started in 1999, and was presented at the 2000 Turin Auto Show.

They did build a complete chassis.
