Connect the following 2 cars with each other through the shortest possible chain you can find.

Valid connections are:

- Same engine
- Same chassis
- Same brand
- Same coachbuilder
- Same designer

You can use each type of connection as many times you want.

You get 1 point for identifying both cars + making a valid connection between them.

When nobody else can give a shorter chain within 2 weeks after your (valid) response, you win another point.
If somebody else finds a shorter (valid) connection, than he wins the extra point (again when nobody else gives a shorter valid chain within the following 2 weeks after his response…)

The first car is a GAZ M-21 Volga; the second car is an Aixam Mega (though since it is obviously a Dutch version it is a Mega Tjaffer). The very first GAZ (GAZ-A in 1932) was a clone of the American Ford (Ford Model A), and the very first Citroën, Type A in 1919 (the Mega is based on Citroën AX mechanics) was also inspired by Ford, at least as far as it concerned the mass production... Also both cars have a four-cylinder engine.

The models are correct, but your connections aren't, I think.  I can't find a (valid) connection between the Ford Model A and the Citroën Type A.

True, the link is very vague... Ford was first in USA with mass-production of cars, Citroën was first in Europe with that... But I'll have a look for a more legitimate link

The GAZ Volga M-21 was assembled by Scaldia in Belgium and was offered with a diesel engine produced by Peugeot (the Indenor diesel).  The Mega also used a diesel from the Peugeot PSA Group.  Could this be the link?

@ faksta: your chain is not correct because you use the link 'car group' which is not allowed.  And going from Chrysler Alpine to Simca 1308 is a separate chain-addition.

@ Djetset: there is not such thing as 'the link' you just need to find the shortest chain you can think of.  And I must saw the Peugeot diesel was a great find.  Unfortunately, you didn't complete the chain because the engines used in the Mega are not from the indenor line.  So you forget 1 connection.

@ehhxekt: this is probably the one Djetset was thinking of.  But you made the correct chain!

@ all: please in the future post your answers like ehhxekt did.  This makes it very easy to follow the chain.

And now let's wait if there is somebody elso who can make an even shorter one.  On never knows...
