Art and cars #9 - Peter Fonda and a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
« on: January 22, 2009, 05:07:51 AM »
Who is he, and what car can he be associated with?

Art and cars. Painters, writers, musicians, actors, movie makers: in a nutshell, artists. Cars of special importance in their work, or in their life.
This one is worth just 1 point. Tougher ones will be worth 2, one for the artist, one for the car.
Rule of this puzzle is: you identify the artist, you have one week to find the car. After that, the hunt is opened and anyone can rob you of your point.

If you haven't registered yet, you need to do so in order to reply with your answer.
Also, please be sure to check out our other puzzles, and, please post a puzzle of your own if you'd like - the more, the merrier.

Thanks!

That happy young man is Peter Fonda, and the car you are probably looking for is the '69 Dodge Charger R/T from "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" which he starred in.

Just in case, he's also associated with Harley Davidsons (several, but they're not cars) and was in a movie called "The Tempest", but I don't know if it was about a small Pontiac.    ;D

Fine, congratulations.
Of course it's Peter Fonda before he started to drop acid. Mind you, this is from "Young lovers" a 1965 movie and he may well have started already, his well-groomed look notwithstanding. I thought he would be much harder to recognize in this pic.
And of course he will be forever associated with this yellow Charger.
Fonda and the car ended crushed by a train in a sequence who was made part of the opening credits of "The fall guy", so you could see it again and again every week in the 1980's.

More than likely he's been dropping "Enzyte".  He has that "Smiling Bob" look on his face.   ;D
