I believe that is a Vetta Ventura.

BTW, I have a picture of me at about 6 standing by what I'm told is a VV (dark green convertible), but I've never been sure if that's what is was. It only looks kind of like actual VV pics I've seen since.

I don't have it in digital form. I'll have to see if I can get a good digital pic of the pic.

That's interesting, those lateral air vents are very Bertone-Bolwell style!
May I ask you where was this picture taken?

Now we've got another puzzle on our hands.  ;D

While the hood and fender slots seem consistent with a Bolwell (MK VII?), the Aussie car had 4 slots per side, arranged pretty much in a straight vertical line. This car has either 7 or 8 slots (hard to tell if there is one behind that exhaust pipe), in a row that slants forward. And the headlight 'buckets' seem consistent with the Ventura.

Oops - that's a reflection, not the exhaust.

I'm incline to consider it an heavy customized Vetta Ventura (or one of the same breed) more than a Bolwell, the front is quite the same...

BTW, I only have my dad's word that the green car was a "Vetta Ventura." Not necessarily the most reliable source (although at the time he was as likely as anyone to be able to borrow one of the 12 or so V.V.s in the world).

May I ask you where was this picture taken?

Wasn't Bertone stylist Franco Scaglione involved in the design of the V-V? I thought he helped with the Apollo, which later became the Vetta Ventura.

Is that directed to me in particular, or everyone? I don't know what site you mean.

I posted your picture there. A guy responded who worked on a similar car (an Apollo, vs. a VV - same difference, mostly) in the sixties, for a member of the band "The Association". It too was painted green.

Can you point me to the specific thread there? I can't find it among all the other stuff.

Probably - I've not seen another with that hood and those fender vents. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I've never seen one in any configuration anywhere but in print or on the web.
