Nope. It originates from one country, is currently being produced in another, and this particular car has been modified in a third country. And I would like the make and model designation of this third derivative, thank you!

Let's see what the Experts make of this one.

It could be the chinese FAW Xinfu, or the chinese electric convertion of the same car called Qingyuan ZX40. The cars started out as Daihatsu Move, and there is also the Perodua Kenari.

You're probably right about it being one of those - but this one is marketed under a different name in another country. The model designation is pretty much the same, but the name of the marque isn't. I could tell you which designation (of the two you've mentioned) is the right one, but you can probably figure out for yourself which one might work in a non-Chinese market and which one might not...

On the web page of the 'manufacturer' it doesn't say anything about the car being made in China, but then again, that's generally not considered as something to brag about, so that might not be so strange. But - can you tell me under which name is this car sold in a completely different market than the Chinese one?

Yes, you're right, as I thought you were. As for the name, if you read the headline of that first webpage you linked to, you'll see it: The Miles ZX40. And this is some kind of limited edition, called the Miles ZX40S Advanced Design (not that I can tell what's so very advanced about that design).

The point, of course, is yours!
