This is the Lawson Neracar made in the late 1940s by combining a 4 cylinder in-line Blackburne engine with a Neracar chassis and adding some beautifully flowing home-made bodywork. Compare and contrast with the more boxy Avro Monocar made two decades earlier.
Built on a Neracar chassis, Mr Lawson built this in 1948 using a 288cc straight 4 from Mr Haythorn. It had outriggers that dropped under gravity and locked in position. They can just be seen hiding in the rear bodywork.

I remember a Ner-a-car, the 13.5hp from 1921 made in USA, developed from (or in) the Martin Scootmobile Runabout.

The site where I found this picture says the NeraCar  was an Feet Forward (FF) motor bike made in the United States for five years, during the twenties.

The Ner-a-Car was a type of feet forwards motorcycle designed by Carl Neracher in 1918. Around 6500 Ner-a-Cars are believed to have been produced between 1921 and 1927 in England, and about 10,000 Neracars (note different spelling) in the US. They were manufactured in England by the Sheffield-Simplex company and the Ner-a-Car Corporation in the United States.

For reference's sake, here's a British Ner-A-Car. The proportions are certainly similar. The front wheel and suspension suggest the puzzle bike/car is based on these mechanicals.

Here's a Neracar ad from 1922. While the seller is in New York, it doesn't mention where it was built.
