PS: I'm going to Chamonix, France, for a week starting tomorrow (Friday). Will also be visiting the Geneva auto show :) but it means that I will not have the regular Internet connection I enjoy at home. So please bear with me if my updates are a bit slower in the coming week!

There's something special about this. It had a different name altogether and was quite a different machine...

All the model names can be brought back to this:  S110 Hatchback and S110 Coupe.

This car was modified by another company and sold under a completely different name, one that has nothing to do with Datsun or Nissan.

All I can come up with is that Intermeccanica made a model named Viva SX. This was based on a Datsun 200 SX.

Nope - not the Viva :)

I could give you another hint, but that would make it too easy :) - after all, it is in the Experts section!

One version of the car that hasn't been mentioned is the Lectra Motors Centauri which was an American conversion of the car to electric power. They also used the actual photo shown in their publicity material.

Which would be a good reason to guess that it's exactly the name I'm looking for! Congratulations!
