I do know that mine is a converted Twingo by Greenpeace, but I´ve never seen a Corsa like that...

This one wasn't done in a back yard by any private person or environmental group, but it was quite groundbreaking at its time.

And as Irmscher say on their own web page: "1994 - Der Irmscher Selectra demonstriert eindrucksvoll die Entwicklungskompetenz. Er war weltweit das erste Elektrofahrzeug mit seriellem Hybridantrieb auf Basis eines Großserienfahrzeuges."

Or in English: "1994 - The Irmscher Selectra demonstrates clearly (Irmscher's) developing competence. It was the world's first electric car with serial hybrid drive based on a mass production car."
