I've only just found the site so apologies that these comments come late to the discussion.
Actually he Meyrignac was first shown at the Geneva Salon in March 1977 and was based on an Alpine A110 1600SX Berlinette chassis and running gear that Denis Meyrignac clothed in a fibreglass bodyshell with the simple ultra modern lines. Viewed from the side it had almost a straight line from the nose to the top of the windscreen. Entry was gained by lifting the complete cockpit cover around a pivot line at the base of the windscreen and the flat sliding side windows were recessed into the sides of the car. It took him, working alone, about three years to build and at around 200 kph was very slightly faster than the standard "1600 SX". With the end of production of the A110 in France in July 1977 any hopes that Meyrignac had of building more examples disappeared.
There is a brief discussion of the car accompanied by three pictures beginning on page 133 of the book "Alpine -Label Bleu" by Christian Descombes, ISBN 9-782851-203953
