Is it the chassis of a Ferves Ranger with Fiat 500 components?

The buildings may be of northern italian origin, too.

EDIT: as I´ve found a pic of a Ferves chassis I think I wasn´t totally wrong:

Maybe your chassis is older and of a more conservative design, but there are many parallels, too...

You're right about the country of origin - Italy - but, although I'm not sure about the chassis, it definitely doesn't have a Fiat 500 engine

It has no gear-box and it has a strange hose-frame-construction above the front axle. Is it part of the drive?
Hydraulical or hydro-pneumatical?

I recall them as manufacturers of milking machines and associated equipment, hence the dig!

Yes this was one guy's vision, myopic or otherwise, not a major manufacturer

I definetely know the name of the yellow car and very certainly the name of the man explaining the engine. I also know the concept of the engine, but don't want to give it away for the moment.
Concerning to the inventor: is there a strong connection to Australia? Let's say he's an emigrant? Mr. A.d.P from Melbourne born in Italy? Another possibility is Mr. V.S. from Milano who built also such a car in the 1970s..

The terrible thing is: I haven't found a single pic of the puzzle car yet...

The inventor's name is Vittorio Sorgato and his car was equipped with an air-engine (compressed air technology).

A collaboration with Indian brand TATA is planned.

There also was a trace to Melbourne respectively to Angelo di Pietro who also works on a similar concept, but he already left Italy in 1970.
