It appears to have a SAAB Sonnet body, but I suspect something serious has been done to it.

It's a Fiberfab Bonanza with German number-plate.
BTW: the same car was recently posted by DHoffmann on post #40.

Do I deserve two points now?  ;D

Fiberfab Bonanza it is. Once the other puzzle is confirmed as such, I'll merge them.

A Fiberfab Bonanza GT?
EDIT: Now I see that even if it is one, my guess won’t earn me any points… I just stumbled on this in the ’Solved’ section:

You are correct. I had no clue the other one was too. If it were up to me I'd give you the point, but I'll wait for an admin to decide on whether the point should be given or not.

This is the Fiberfab Bonanza GT. I remember a sad story on internet, telling this particular car was owned by a german man who worked at NASA in the USA and built this car. He returned to Germany and died in a car accident on his birthday with a Renault 4. Some time later his Fiberfab arrived from the USA.

Yes, I did not recognise the Fiberfab (which was a puzzle before), I focused on the fact that this was a VW Beetle powered American kitcar, which the buyer, Manfred Eichenberger converted to Chevy Corvair power.

Merged. I don't think that every different powertain configuration in a kt car merits a separate puzzle.
