Jagman, boy what a hint! Three easy clicks from a google search will yield you that very photo and the answer.

Happy hunting!  ;D

Obviously, it is Europa-based. But by whom, and where, when and why?

Is it a Europa with mods by Franco Sbarro?

Was it an attempt to meet post -1973 US safety standards, i.e. bumper requirements?  A Federalized version, perhaps?

Google Lotus Europa
Click the first non-sponsored link
Click Europa Knowledgebase
Click Photos Vintage

Halfway down you'll see the Hispano-Aleman Castilla from 1972 powered by a Seat 1430.

It doesn't get much more direct than that.

Hispano-Aleman Castilla it is! Most had the SEAT 1600 engine, the 1430 was an option.

The head and tail-lights were SEAT-sourced, as well.

As KarnUtz has been so nice to tell me, this is a re-post - http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=588.0. I don't really understand how it got past me... but I'll award Paul Jaray the point, and I'd also like to ask Mr. Utz to deduct one point from my total tally because of my stupid mistake.  :yuck:

Maybe he'll even merge the two posts?

Finally time for some new puzzles from me! This one has been seen before, but not, I believe, as a stand alone puzzle. Who can tell me exactly what it is for a point?

It's been pointed out that this is actually a repost (a double repost, no less) so I'll leave it in the Rookie section only
