Funny idea to graft an MG grille onto a Seven body, but the result is strangely appealing.

No, the Bulldog is different:


I see what you mean: the Bulldog has an MG type body but not an MG grille, whereas the puzzle car has an MG grille (from an 1100 or 1300 I think) but not an MG type body.  I was thinking it might be a Magenta 1100 or 1300, but the body shape doesn't look quite right.

The only thing those cars share is the grille, so no it's not a Magenta.

Well done, yes, it's the Stromberg Furia from Spain, which was based on the Hispano-Aleman Mallorca, which in turn was based on the Lotus 7 S4.
