Found this: 1992/3 PPG Indy Car World Series - Ken Hamilton in the Eagle Aircraft Special / Chevy.

I also found a Davey Hamilton, who, if the Hamilton bit is right, might be your man. He runs Meridian Speedway with his father (no name), and has a son who’s now competing in racing. (JD Hamilton)

Oh, also found something on <<< link removed >>>, about two thirds down. The car was called the Crop Duster and was apparently not successful. And they mention Davey, so I guess that's it then.

According to Rick Popely's book, Indianapolis 500 Chronicle; Hamilton created the car for the 1982 race.  It was powered by a Chevy small block, and created quite a stir when it appeared at the track.  It was a real handful, though; and never really turned any competitive lap speeds.  Hamilton spun it a couple of times and then withdrew the car.  The driver sat decidedly close to the front axle, making it one of the most extremely cab-forward cars ever to appear at the track.  It certainly was one of the most distinctive Indy cars.

Ken Hamilton is indeed Davey Hamilton's father.  Davey competed in the IRL for several years, but injuries hampered his career.
