If it is, and several websites say it is, it's not a Kurtis, it's a KK500G...still Kurtis-built, but not a Kurtis.. The only Kurtis cars at Indy in 1957 were Novis; there were 2 of them. There were several KK500G's in the race. This car , if it ran at Indy, either didn't qualify, or raced under a different sponsor and color scheme than it has now...there was a # 22 in the race, driven by Gene Hartley, but it was a Lesovsky chassis. The next time a # 22 started at Indy was in 1960, and it was a Trevis, driven by Eddie Johnson.
This particular car was driven at the VSCC SeeRed race meeting at Donington Park, England in September 2007 by Stuart Harper. It's Indy history is a mystery to me.
