Might be a Briscoe, but I can only find a photo of a single-headlamp model

No, not Briscoe, and it's name dont begin with "B". The car has a very unique engine construction; it was called: "plate engine". The motor was made from steel plates, with autogenus welding.

Oh, that's the Fejes, of course, of about 1926!
I knew I'd seen it before but couldn't place it.
Cyril Pullin intended to produce it under licence at the Ascot works in Letchworth, where I live. Nothing came of it and the Ascot car was a subject of a puzzle I set.

Yes, it's correct, this is the 2nd or 3rd generation of Fejes, a Touring model. The point is yours!

That's interesting, Pál, I had not seen that before.
I understand that there was extensive use of fabricated steel for parts where most other designs used castings. Do any engine drawings survive?

I know of five (and a half) engines which survived. There were a lot of patents, one of my students is just doing an essay on his work. I'll look for drawings
