I didn't actually think of looking at BMW engine stats... Touche! As I said, you never know when you learn something new  ;D

The info board with the car said Einzelstuck with the engine, so I presumed that it wasn't BMW related. Could perhaps refer to the fact that this is the only Wiesmann with that engine or something?

It was another guess without reliability, but it's probable.
E21 323i had exactly these specifications. (1975-1983)

The first production cars of Wiesmann got stronger BMW engines with 170HP (MF25) respectively 211HP (MF35).
So, the prototype seemed to be a bit powerless!

Yeah it quite possibly could be. Or a combination of both, a modified version of that engine or something.

A Wiesmann prototype?  :-[
Gah! I was trying to avoid giving too much away.

This is Wiesmann Roadster #001 from 1987, built 5 years before the first production roadster.

GRRRRRREATT :D

Was it designed by Dusty Bonnet?
I actually made a search for a designer by the name of Dusty Bonnet, then it clicked.  :lmao:

Glad to add a chuckle to your day.  :)
