Not a Speedwell.
You're right about looking the same - if you are told what one might be, it is quite easy to confirm (or disprove) but picking a make out of thin air is quite hard.

It's a 1903 Cottereau Populaire, 8 hp.

Never would have got it without the mustard, though. It tends to spice things up a little ;)

I'm afraid that we native english-speakers can be a bit obscure for those working in a second language - but with some of them, you'd never know it was the case. ;D
