I would name it "Lethal" !

Since it appears to have a crossflow head, I am guessing its a little more modern than one might expect at first. Surely not an MG motor nestled within those frame rails.

My he's got a big one! The scooter is a wasp, the english translation of Vespa though. It looks like an early italian army job from the early 1950's too. Not sure of the model, but the early Vespas had the cut down leg shields

It's German. It's an Opel 'Stehermaschine' stayer bike from 1919/20. It's equipped with a 30HP 1,6l engine. A special motorcycle for track cycling.

In 1928 Robert Grassin from France raced 122 km/h in the slipstream of this motorbike. Location was the Autodrome Montlhéry near Paris

Yes, it gave me the hint to take a closer look.
Note the diameter of the bycycles' front sprocket on Otto Puzzel's pic. Running 75mph a few inches behind a motorbike — hazardous!
