, sorry again. That is, if you speak french, you say "berline" for "sedan" (I don't know what the word is in german). In french you're right, a berline has ALWAYS four doors. I don't know about the italian "berlinas" or the whatever in Germany, or the British "saloons". But the word "Sedan" we are using is the American word, and sedans can have two or foor doors. As a matter of fact, I've checked the production numbers for Ford and Chevrolet, for instance, and they usually were as many two-door sedans than four-door sedans sold yearly.
