Let's say that they WANT to be a manufacturer. Right now, after 13 years of planning and development what they have is a press release, one sketch of their car and an unfinished (aborted) prototype seen above :P
Oh, and a deal with Panoz's subsidiary to have 60 cars built by that company ;)
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.
