This one annoys me. I take pride in being quite good at sports cars from the past 25-30 years or so, but this yellow beast is just a bit too slippery. I think I know where it's from, but I can't seem to find any reference to it. Arrrgh!

Do you have a little hint to offer me when I say that I know where it's probably from? Just a tiny little one? Remember, Christmas is coming...

Edit: Can you at least tell me if the origin of the registration plate is the same as the origin of the car?

Well, I can tell you that this car is powered by a v8 4 litre 32 valves manual shift and it is a one-off based on a well-known car...
it is not European or American (this one and the donor-car)....and I think only a few cars are made there....the owner of this company also made another mass-production-based car and a replica...

Might be Australian, but that is definitely not an Australian licence plate.

Patero 408 GTC

The Patero 408 GTC was developed as a one off on a 1988 Toyota Crown chassis.. The body was hand crafted over a light steel space frame using polyurethane foam and fibreglass. It is powered by a quad cam 32 valve 4.0l v8 engine with a manual shift, automatic gearbox.

And it's currently for sale, apparently. I'd have to say that the rear end is the prettier one, though, the front design is not as accomplished.

I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't get that one! I knew it was from New Zealand but couldn't find the right car. Arrgh!! again...
