Almost there...at that time Wartburg made this car under xxxx license.
This is a xxx-wartburg model yyy...

The car's name was Wartburg Motorwagen until 1904. The car was produced by Automobilwerk Eisenach and the Wartburg name was dropped when the company in 1904 changed hands but re-appeared briefly in the 1930's on a sporting version of the BMW licence built version of the Austin 7. The Wartburg name was revived in 1956 by VEB Automobilwerk Eisenach and given to an updated version of their IFA F9 car which had been in production since 1950.

OK that is right but when in 1898 Eisenach started producing electric cars, Wartburg (as part of the Ehrhardt concern) was the name choose for the 2-cylinder petrol-driven car...that car was nothing else than a xxx voiturelle (so it was french...) built under license and that's why some sources referres to it as xxx-wartburg.  Wartburg from 1898 as you wrote is absolutely correct...just the model is missing..
