No idea of the car, but it sure looks like Henry Sanderson at the wheel.

The brand name of this car is not an acronym. The model designation has appeared on other, more recent cars from other brands, and may indeed be used by another brand, if the trade magazine scuttlebutt is accurate.
And most Riley nines or Imps retained the Riley radiator is it perchance a Sunbeam?

It's British, so how about an Alta?

Is it a british Autocarrier from early 1922? Later that year Autocarrier changed their name to the acronym A.C.

No sir.

This car's maker was founded in the early 20th century, and after consolidations and mergers, the brand name lasted 70+ more years, but is now defunct.

1934 Wolseley Hornet Special...

Dan

Since it looks nothing like any Wolseley Hornet Special made in 1934, I think it should really be a Wolseley Hornet Special Special!

Apparently, no two were alike.  I checked several websites, and only found 1 Hornet Special that looked like this one.

Here's the website, in German.....

It looks like the same car, even if the number is different.

I agree it's the same car.
WHS were made by a number of coachbuilders, but (in period) all had the normal Wolseley radiator and were road-equipped in a conventional way: here are three examples that are more or less standard in appearance.
