« on: April 06, 2007, 06:51:00 AM »
As with the previous "What Car?" puzzle, I'll post a series of pictures, you tell me what car make and model it spells out. This one should be a bit more difficult than the previous post. Each picture may represent a letter, a syllable, or a word.

Make and Model, please. Here we go:

I see pictures of: SUN-BEAM HAIR-RING-TON AL-PINE.

This leaves the pictures of the lamp, moon lander, and letter "s", which I will butcher into LA- MOON-S

So it's a Sunbeam Harrington Alpine, Le Mans version.

I said I was working on it. :)

I should have learned by now not to publicize my tortured thought process :)

The moon lander is really a....

MANNED Eagle spacecraft from the Apollo program, which resulted in one small step for MAN [sic], one giant leap for MANkind.

Which gives me the "man" in "Le Mans".

Is one of my family members secretly paying you to torment me? You don't have to name names, I have my suspicions.

Anyway, the Eagle Lander was also originally known as the "Lunar Excursion Module", abbreviated "LM" but pronounced "LEM". So says wikipedia, so it must be true.

The lamp pictured is obviously switched "ON".

And with our little "S" type print ball thingy, that gives us "LeMONs" which is how it's pronounced if not spelled.

TA-DA!  I hope

Wow. Just wow.

I've just witnessed the autopuzzle equivalent of passing a kidney stone the size of a potato.

Well done indeed!
