It is the 1953 1.5 litre BRM V16 with compressor that gave 600 bhp at 12,000 revs.

Here is the car pictured at Siverstone in 1999:

I haven't listened to the clip yet, but that would be my guess. Not because it's even remotely right, but because the BRM makes the most amazing sound and I love to stumble clips of it at full chat.

Call it wishful thinking.

If my next post has a picture of a drooling smiley, then I'll be in agreement.

Here is the same engine/car for 3 full rounds (you can hear the faint sound of it at the far side too) and then a take from inside of the cockpit. Play the sound file at the livingroom stereo at loud volum. Remember that this is a little 1.5 litre that is over half a century old!
