A relatively unusual sports racing car with a rather more unusual engine. Makes of car and engine please:

A blind guess - the Tojeiro-Butterworth ?

I don't believe you made a blind guess!

It is the Tojeiro-Butterworth, as auctioned at Goodwood a fortnight ago.

Well, it was more process of elimination.  As the picture was opening up I thought that unusual engine could mean Armstrong Siddley but the car was too small .  IShamrock eliminated a Kieft with the (then) unusual Climax engine.  Not an Elva so not the Elva-Butterworth.  So what was left in the way of small cars with unusual engines?
But it was a blind guess in the sense that I had no idea what it looks like.

The two bonnet-top bulges may have helped, perhaps . . . ?

Correction to the above statement about Goodwood: I was confused about which auctioneer's site I had used and it is in fact still to be sold by H&H at their sale on25th July at Kempton Park, so if you fancy a really unusual classic sports-racer you can still have a bid for it.
