'56 Checker it is! This one's an A8; the Marathon was a variant introduced in 1962. I thought this car looked much nicer before they went with quad headlights. Finding a picture of one of these without a checkerboard paint job or a sign on the roof was quite time-consuming!

Good Gracious, as Donny Rumsfeld was wont to say.  That's TWO I got right!  The Checker was always the car of choice if you and 8 of your closest friends all wanted to go for a ride!
