No idea but it is neat. I would like to drive it around on a cold day. A warm day would make ti very hot. Nice.

Jeez, that thing looks like an electric egg!

Well... maybe a French Electric Egg. Of course, that would make it a L'oeuf Électricque or some such silliness.

Created in Paris (France) 1942 the Arzens L'Oeuf (Arzens Egg) is noted as being the world's first true bubble car.  Designed and built by Paul Arzens, the vehicle was constructed from hand-formed aluminium and a windscreen and curved side doors made of Plexiglass. (Plexiglass at the time was a new material.)  Initially the L'Oeuf was electric and power came from five 12 volt 250amp batteries that powered an electric motor on the single rear wheel.  After the second World War this was replaced with a 125cc engine.  The vehicle was used by Arzens up until his death aged 87 in 1990; it is now in the Transportation museum in Mulhouse, France.

Could be, but then you never can tell when you're dealing with a porridgehead, now can you?

Otto's puzzle picture has disappeared, so here is one, taken in occupied Paris during the war. The lady owner of the car looks around , but there are no nazis in sight.

They might have thought they were under attack from Martians if they'd spotted that on the streets back then!
