Aston Martin DB4GT engine, possibly in the DB4GT Le Mans car of 1963
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Man, that sure looks like the cylinder head of a Jaguar XK engine with three Weber carbs.  But not quite.

So AlanL is probably right..... :)

Dual ignition with distributors at the back, cam box fixings and breathers are all AM not Jaguar. That is to say the Tadek Marek AM engine, not the WO Bentley which has the exhaust on the right, etc. etc.
What it is in is less easy to be sure of, but it looks like the LM DB4GT, but could just be P214 for all I know!

I SAID you are right, man!  Jeeze, don't rub my nose in my own ignorance. I feel like such a hick from East Bumfuck over here.

Good thing Rich is as dumb as I am or I would get a complex and need to consult a competent mental health professional.   :(

HEY.  I resemble that remark.  Don't let it happen again or your rates triple.

Easy, big fella!  When I said "dumb", I meant it in the best possible way!    :hah:

Do you think EITHER of us wil make it to the Expert ranks in '07?  Personally, given the level of competition, I tend to doubt it. I always thought I was THE authority on matters automotive, but the folks around here are WAY above my competence.  Its embarrasing to be old AND stupid.....

Right engine, right car type, wrong year. But since year was not asked for, I'm awarding you with the win. Well done, sir!  ;D

BTW, it is a 1959 Aston Martin DB4GT.
