Andrew Hurdle was the driver / Santa Pod (raceway) Scorpion exhibition car. Was it built by the raceway owner, Bob Phelps?

I knew you were the one!  :applause: :applause: :applause:

Here's what I have:

"BRIGHTON 1980 -- Making it's first appearance the Scorpion Jet Car designed and built by
Bob and Roy Phelps, Allan Herridge, Mike Coburn and Andrew Hurdle "

The original pic and another one where you can see the majesty of this ...thing!
