I'd say we again have a shortage of rookies, so...

Why do you feel bad? Is it because you knew it? Nowhere does it say we can't do it.
Most of the Rookie Puzzles are upgraded to Expert level and never reach the Pros. Can't they have their fun too?
I've also just upraded two Art and Cars puzzles, from the Experts' to the Pro and FW section. Very easy ones. They remained a week without a single reply. Yet there was 2 easy points to grab there too.

I haven't seen this puzzle in expert section somehow  ??? I am for moving puzzles step by step no matter how hard they seem to be and I am totally against any kind of expert discrimination  :D :D

Maybe there's an opportunity to move them for the experts to try their luck?  ???

You didn't read me wel (see above): this is what I do all the time. I just felt like playing it otherwise, for once.

Doind as You please, i.e.not allowing experts even to try their luck means discrimination. And that is not even restricted by any rules! Sad   :'(

Why haven't You just  moved it to pro section, then?

All right, it means discrimination, I agree. But the whole concept is based on discrimination:

- Experts and Pros are barred from answering Rookie Puzzles
- Pros are barred from answering Experts Puzzles
- Rookies and Experts are barred from answering Pro and FW Puzzles.
I once expressed the same disagreement as you do against promoting puzzles directly to the Pros and FW Section. I understood that fact since and changed my mind.
Believe me, if this is a question of points, an Expert can easily grab one point a day, when a Pro must work hard to make one a week.
You feel bad about what I did mostly because you are (for how long still?) an Expert, just as I may have felt bad about other discriminations affecting the Pros when I became Pro.

But this is not a question of points (I stopped caring about this myself), this is a question of fun. I am taking care that everyone gets his fun. Don't you agree?

Described conception isn't discrimination: the better You are the more harder puzzles You have to solve. Simple. Ok, let it be but I hope not much of Your other rookie puzzles will be moved straightly for pros&fw. Or You think experts are too good for Your puzzles? ;D

As of his morning, there are more than 100 unsolved Rookie puzzles, and around 80 unsolved Expert puzzles. Get cracking on the latter. When you have solved them all, we can discuss this 'discrimination' issue further.

There is ample opportunity for Rookies and Experts to score points. As Pro's can only answer the hardest of the hard puzzles, versus Rookies having free reign in all three, and Experts in 2/3rd's of the puzzles (by volume), letting the Pro's and Editors have their own playground is fair as fair can be.

If Ray, or anyone else decides to post there immediately, or to promote puzzles there from the other sections, they are certainly welcome to do so. Once you become a pro, you can solve those puzzles to which you you were denied access, and show your stuff by solving the puzzles that have heretofore stumped the best of the best.
