That is the only rear-view photo I have seen of this car.  But the search also lead to pictures with the headlight covers open.

Interesting car.

Yes, me too, which is why I thought it would make a good puzzle.
Most pictures of the car show it with headlights covered by glass covers, which is what it had when I saw it at Pebble Beach back in 1999, when they featured Maserati 5000s with most of the ones made there.
Much as I like Michelotti designs this was not the best-looking of the 5000s there that day; far from it!

It IS a good puzzle ! My first thought was an Iso Rivolta or a Maserati and this eventually led to the 5000GT. I came across a pic of a scale model of the car where the back end is shown, so that's how I found it. And I agree, not the best work of Michelotti.
