When future was fabulous...

Still this is one of my most liked books, because it shows a highly optimistic view into a technologically dominated future.

Reality today shows us that we have to be very careful with most technologies. It has got to help mankind to develop itself, not to destroy us.

So forget today´s business, buckle up and fly with me to planet Mead60:

I´ve made those photos at a book market in Lucca/Italy, where I´ve found this very rare copy.

First I thought it was too expensive so I made those spy photos. In the end I´ve bought it anyway...

I was 14 in 1960 and I remember my father bringing home this book. He was a junior executive for an auto supplier. My brother and I pored over that volume for years, and I don't know what happened to it. I should ask my brother, as he got a lot of our father's things.
