Wilke
Finnish truck based upon Volvo made by a company Teijon Tehtaat Oy, I believe they made the Teijo later.

:o I thought it would have been a lot harder. There is very little information available on the net about this one. Basically I know the same thing you told and that's it. I don't have production figures but it must have been less than twenty. Congrats for the point.

My site shows a different Wilke. I know the make because I was searching for it. I also have that this company was building vans on Volvo PV445-base and that the production of the Wilke lasted somewhat between 1959 and 1964. Apparently, Teijon Tehtaat Oy was making agricultural machines and was taken over by a Antti Wihuri. I believe that afterwards they have been active in manufacturing of trailers. It seems that it exists today as part of Caterpillar.

Does anybody have any photo of one of those?

In 1959 Wihuri company ordered 25 PV445 chassis from Volvo. The rear-part was designed completely different. Unfortunately the new body sheet wasn't very strong and suffered from rust.

Later, in 1968-1969, Wihuri tried once more when they assembled 48 Volkswagen 1200 L cars in Heinola, Finland.

The rear view picture would have been a nice puzzle.  ;)

Well documented rear end, it would've become.
