I don't know much about this one, but enough to place it here.

For one point, please respond and identify the car and its engine.

Glowin, Fiat 125 engine

Racing towards professional status, aren't you  ;)  (Let me tell you, it is boring when there are so many good experts around  :D )

Yes, it is the Glowin with Fiat 125 engine. Well done.

Just happen to know a few these last days  :D but some how I am not really looking forward of becoming a Pro as a lot of fun puzzles never reach the Pro section  :-\

Wendax

How true!

And on a quiet night you can hear the pros weeping while solving Rookie puzzles never reaching the pro level.....

I agree, and I'm enjoying still being an Expert and am backing off researching plenty of puzzles so that I can remain one for a while yet.

Maybe someone can come up with some ideas how to engage the Pro's more once they've passed the 200 mark?  It must be a bit dull not being able to take part in so many interesting puzzles.

It ain't no dull at all :)

Good!  Maybe dull wasn't the right word.  Must be a bit frustrating though, knowing answers but never having the chance to take part in solving them?

Is there any additional info, like nationality and an approx year?

I believe from the seventies France.
The picture in the puzzle is featured on a forumthread about Vincent Mausset's Darnval.
The poster received these pictures by Email from Mr. Mausset himself which included this picture of the Glowin, but has no futher info on it either.

All Mr. Mausset's pictures he posted also are on Mr. Mausset's site called granocean.com about designs on yachts cars and furniture. exept.....
...the Glowin car, it does not feature there so I have some doubts if Mr. Mausset was involved in the project, but it is the only connection I know.

Maybe it is a one-off copy of the Darnval

You're most welcome.

If you really want to find out more. you might want to try sending Mr.Mausset an E mail at vmausset@granocean.com.
He seems very helpfull in that other forum as well, providing the protected pictures from his site and info on his own car projects.
Maybe he can confirm some information on the Glowin.

I only have 1 question: Was it a one-off or did he intend to make more?

For the Glowin I suspect it is a Le Mans prototype , so most likely there is only one.
I made a shot of a page where the name Glowin is mentioned with the Darnval car. (second pic)
It is in French and hard to read for me what it say exactly.
The Darnval was built six times at that time and they also built the Darnval Connew F1 and there is a rendering of a more recent Darnval Dragon car

I did.
Mr. Mausset confirmed that he is not involved in the Glowin and either don't know much about that.

On the Autopop feature about his car there is simply written "le Darnval qui n'est pas sans rappeller la Glowin (voir n. 7 de Autopop) fut la révélacion de ce salon"
The issue n.7 only contains the pictures above in this puzzle, without further info.

The Show was actually the same 1972 Paris racing cars show where the Darnval was unveiled.

The mistery remains.
