Third mystery for my 400th. I'm not sure if the name I have is correct, so I am open for looking forward to any guesses.

Maserati Tipo 63 of 1961

It can be this, but as I've already written - I'm not sure. Maserati is one of the name I have in the caption under this picture, but I'm also looking for another known name. BTW, I don't have model name for this car.

Let me add a little bit of extra information.

This particular car was built for the Scuderia Serenissima of Conte Volpi di Misurata.
It was noted for it's headrest and stabilising tailfin.
I know it was raced at the Pescara 4 hours event in 1961 with Nino Vaccarella & Joakim Bonnier.
Other races I don't know without further research.

Maserati Tipo 63s were also raced by Briggs Cunningham's team in their white and blue livery.

That's what I was looking for! One point for you.

More info or pictures are welcome.

Here's the coloured pic I've promised: (a little grainy – I'm sorry)
Though strange proportioned it's one of the most spectacular racing cars ever IMHO

Not more infos from my side. Think those provided by woodinsight are sufficient.
